The audience for this game is comprised of general gamers, primarily younger ones.
TOOLS allows for creative expressions within the game.
The game allows for creation of creatures, structures, galaxies, planets, and culture.
The purpose of this game is to embody gamers' imagination.
The game players are remarkably similar to game designers in that they create a universe for other players to interact in while those other players create a universe with which they can interact.
I can't possibly grasp how this game would be designed. I think someone must have just wanted to see alternate futures for evolution and just moved along. The tools must have been inspired by a lot of graphic artists.
Who is the audience for this game?
Gamers, Educators, Developers and Designers.
What is the role of TOOLS in this game, for the player?
Exploration and Simulation.

How do you think the game might have been designed? How do you think the tools might have been designed?
With LOTS of planning and designing.
The audience for the game is kids.
He talks about kids learning things on
their own.
The tools employed are
used to draw out creativity
and ideas. Imagination is emphasized.
The different levels seem to be the main
character/thing evolving to something else.
The purpose of the game is like a modern toy for kids.
It is called spore and you eat things.
Game player role is (seems to me) that the
player is the creator. When compared to role
or game designer, it seems the same in ways.
I honestly do not know how it was designed.
I think the tools however were designed with
the idea to create things,or have special
functions
Who is the audience for this game?
A large audience both young and old.
What is the PURPOSE of the game?
to educate
The auidence is anybody and everybody. The tools in the game for the player control what happens over the course of a lifetime in the game. The different levels are from a single cell organism to a supreme being. The purpose of the game is to learn how organisn evolve over time. The roles of the player and designer are almost one and the same. The player can create their own little world in the game and act as a designer. I think the game was designed with advanced animation programs. The tools may have been designed in Flash.
What else do you all think about the Video? Any other general impressions about it? What is this making you think about your own game design project?
Does it spark any ideas?
(I'm Director of Research at the Globaloria program... and I'm super curious! Enjoying your comments...)

Who is the audience for this game?
The audience it was filmed in was defiantly not who is the target of this game. Mainly I see it as something for kids and adults to play.

The role is to give players a chance to create something that take games months to do. It allows the player to get their ideas out through the template as to how their ideas will work.
What are the different levels of creators and creativity occurring in this game?
I’d say many although I don’t know how many… there is the level of creativity based on the player’s imagination. And then there is the only based on how bored with something that you change it for some sort of excitement factor.
What is the PURPOSE of the game?
The purpose it to see what kind of GOD you can be… or what kind of GOD complex you have…
How do the roles of game players compare with the role of the game designer?
To me it seems to try and blur that line…. To get younger people or players into thinking about maybe taking a career field in gaming.
How do you think the game might have been designed?
I imagine it was designed by a bunch of bored out of their minds designers and they wanted something to do other than creating their own people they thought hey how about playing GODs?
No really I have no idea.
How do you think the tools might have been designed?
Trial and error… different types of looks on the Sims take off. Maybe they just wanted to see an easy way for others to play the game without losing interest… trust me that’s how I enjoy a game or game system or not…. Not easy to play or get the controls I lose interest in the game.
